Sand Buckets And Home Chores
A Note from Robin Bibber, YMCA Trafton Center Director, Sanford-Springvale

Thriving in Place – Age Friendly Sanford recently received a Community Connections Mini-Grant to support our mission of working to keep older adults aging comfortably in their homes.

Here in Sanford, we work with volunteers to help with yard clean ups, snow shoveling, and small jobs that can be too much for an older adult to tackle on their own.  Thank you to the Community Connections Mini-Grant for funds to purchase equipment for use in our projects.

We are about to launch our Sand Bucket Program - making it safer to navigate walkways after winter storms.  Thank you to Hammond Lumber for donating the buckets.
