Meet Lifelong Maine's MSW Intern - Teagan Blackie

Teagan Blackie is an MSW student at the University of Maine. She completed her BA in Psychology at Husson University in December of 2023. This semester, Teagan will be working with the Center on Aging and the Lifelong Maine team as a Graduate Assistant and to fulfill her program requirements. She has a great passion for working with older adults and is excited to continue her time at the Center. 

Teagan has done many projects for the Center, so far. Some of these projects include a walk audit on the University of Maine campus, as well as a trail audit with Age-Friendly Bangor. She has created articles for the Lifelong Communities News and recently joined the news team. She is excited to continue her projects and complete many more, as the year goes on. 


Some of Teagan’s Hobbies include hiking, running, being outdoors and enjoying time with her family and friends. In February she summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and in October she completed her first marathon.
